Namaste,

I am Ramsharan Timalsina. As a Buddhist monk and one of the founders of the Vajra Arya Foundation, my life’s work is rooted in the practice of compassion and loving-kindness. These are not just spiritual concepts to me; they are the most crucial tools we have for taking care of one another, all living beings, and the world we share.

The seed for this foundation was planted through a shared vision with my dear friend, Mr. Kasim from Canada. Having traveled to Nepal for many years, he saw the potential to change lives and encouraged me to start an organization that provides a safe haven for children who need it most.

When we established Vajra Arya in 2019, our goal was simple: to provide shelter and education to underprivileged children from the most remote villages of Nepal. But beyond books and classrooms, I wanted to create a home—a place where children could experience balanced development across their mental, physical, and spiritual lives.

Today, we are home to 18 bright young souls. Every day, I am inspired by their resilience. Whether they are attending regular school, practicing Yoga and Lama Dance, or tending to our gardens, we are teaching them to become model citizens who are environmentally aware and socially responsible.

We do not seek recognition; our success is found in the academic achievements and the kind hearts of our students. We invite you to join us on this journey of service. Together, we can ensure that these children have not just a place to stay, but a future filled with opportunity.

With peace and gratitude,

Ramsharan Timalsina
